Job summary

Mead Veterinary Centre is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join our busy team in Dartford. You will be the first point of contact for clients and their pets, greeting them warmly, booking appointments, answering inquiries and supporting the Vet and Nurse teams with a professional, compassionate approach.

Qualifications

Experience in veterinary reception or similar customer-facing role in veterinary/medical industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organisational abilities and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with computer systems; RxWorks experience is a MASSIVE plus

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets on arrival
Book appointments and arrivals on the RX Works diary
Promote healthcare plan to ensure pets receive preventative care
Return follow-up appointments after initial consultations
Assist Vet and Nurse team with queries
Manage paperwork and scan records into digital files
Coordinate with clients for medication collection and payments
Handle busy reception desk and respond to emails and social media inquiries
