Job summary

DNA Vetcare Ltd is seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant for Mead Vet Centre in Dartford. This full-time role offers 40 hours over five days with a 1:4 weekend rota and time back in lieu for bank holidays. Salary up to £28,000 DOE.

You will support the veterinary and nursing teams, maintain a clean, hygienic environment, assist with animal handling, and help with reception duties. There are CPD opportunities and a path to RVN training within a supportive, multi-award-winning group.

About The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Care Assistant to join the team at our award-winning Mead Vet Centre.

Role

Our amazing surgery is located in Dartford, Mead are a 24-hour surgery with some of the best Vets, RVNs, and Support Teams around. More information of the role:

• Full time position
• 40 hours a week over 5 days
• 1:4 weekends
• 2 Bank Holidays per annum - Time back in Lieu
• Salary up to £28,000 DOE

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the vet and nurse teams by maintaining a clean and hygienic environment at all times, assisting with animal handling, working on reception and providing support to the Veterinary Nurses and Veterinary Surgeons as needed.

We boast opportunities for growth with extra CPD opportunities and the option of training to become an RVN. In the past year our nurses have achieved further qualification in anaesthesia, emergency and critical care, physiotherapy, behaviour and diet.
