Memorial Veterinary Pet Care Hospital in Houston is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist to welcome clients, schedule appointments, and coordinate client care in a busy, multi-doctor practice. Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary reception experience preferred but not required.
  • Customer service, administrative, or front-desk experience is a plus.
  • A warm, welcoming, and professional demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and a friendly attitude.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients by phone, email, and in person.
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to client questions.
  • Monitor and respond to hospital emails.
  • Schedule appointments accurately and efficiently.
  • Gather information about patients' needs and determine the appropriate next steps.
  • Help triage client concerns by scheduling appointments or relaying information to the medical team.
  • Communicate urgent concerns promptly to veterinarians and clinical team members.
  • Check clients and patients in for appointments.
  • Complete the checkout process and collect payments.
  • Review invoices and answer basic billing questions.
  • Maintain accurate client and patient information.
  • Coordinate with veterinarians, technicians, and assistants to support an efficient workflow.

Status: Full-time or part-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Monday - Friday, Noon -6pm, Saturdays - 2 Saturdays a month

What Our Veterinary Receptionists Do
