Jackson Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Receptionist for a full-time role aboard our friendly team. The position features a four-day workweek with rotating Saturdays and explicitly no nights, on-call, or holiday hours, supporting a healthy work-life balance.

You’ll warmly welcome clients, manage schedules, process payments, and coordinate communications between clients and veterinary staff, helping ensure a smooth, compassionate client experience for every pet.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary receptionist experience required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional, compassionate approach to clients and coworkers.
• Confidence using computers and learning veterinary practice-management software.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients and patients with warmth, professionalism, and compassion.
• Answer incoming phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.
• Schedule appointments and help manage the daily appointment calendar.
• Check clients and patients in and out efficiently.
• Process payments and maintain accurate client and patient information; communicate hospital services, policies, and next steps clearly to clients.
• Manage messages, reminders, and basic administrative tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area.
• Collaborate with doctors, technicians, assistants, and fellow receptionists to support smooth hospital workflow.
• Provide calm, compassionate support during both routine and emotional visits.
