Job description

All-Star Veterinary Clinic is located in Westfield, IN, and has been serving the community for 18 years. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats, including routine medical, surgical, and dental services. As a Receptionist, you will:
  1. Receive and make calls to schedule appointments.
  2. Prioritize multiple tasks calmly and efficiently.
  3. Maintain accurate client and pet records, including medical history and referrals.
  4. Assist clients with instructions, information, invoices, and prescriptions; schedule future visits.
  5. Use hospital computer systems to document records and communicate with clients and staff.
  6. Manage financial transactions accurately, following cash and credit procedures, and handle opening/closing routines.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and professional communication.
  8. Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
  9. Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions.
  10. Show empathy and treat pets with compassion and respect.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience with veterinary software preferred.
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
  • Flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to work independently and accept guidance.
  • Strong organizational skills and critical thinking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, good judgment, and stress management.
