Job description

Cedar Animal Hospital is proud to serve Richmond Hill, Georgia, and surrounding areas. We are a full-service animal hospital providing veterinary care to dogs and cats, offering services such as routine medical, dental, and surgical care. Our experienced veterinarians are dedicated and compassionate, with over 40 years of combined experience. As a Receptionist, you will:
  1. Receive and make calls to clients for scheduling appointments.
  2. Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
  3. Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, including referral documentation and medical history.
  4. Assist clients by providing necessary instructions, information, and invoices, dispense prescriptions as directed by the veterinarian, and schedule future appointments.
  5. Use hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.
  6. Manage the hospital's financial transactions accurately, following cash and credit procedures, and handle opening and closing procedures.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally.
  8. Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
  9. Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and team members.
  10. Show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.
  11. Utilize standard office equipment.
  12. Possess knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
  13. Have a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  14. Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
  15. Work independently and accept direction on tasks.
  16. Organize effectively and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
  17. Communicate clearly, exercise good judgment, and manage stressful situations.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Pay of $13.00/hour
