BluePearl Pet Hospital in Christiana, DE is hiring an extraordinary Veterinary Receptionist.

Are you an excellent customer service professional? Do you offer guidance, comfort, and support? Are you looking for an opportunity to work with some of the greatest veterinary medicine professionals?

Pay: $18.90 - $29.00 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and depends on experience and advancement through our leveling system.

Schedule: 3 x 12s OR 4 x 10s, rotating schedules including weekends and holidays. We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked during nights and weekends, e.g.,

• Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
• Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are vital to our hospital's success. You will be the first BluePearl Associate clients see, ensuring each receives care and attention. You must remain calm and compassionate, even in emotional situations.

Responsibilities include:

1. Greeting clients warmly and professionally.
2. Maintaining friendly eye contact and approachable demeanor.
3. Listening compassionately.
4. Communicating clearly and calmly in person and on the phone.
5. Assessing clients and pets upon arrival, determining urgency.
6. Responding to non-patient calls and directing visitors appropriately.
7. Confirming appointments and providing preparation instructions.
8. Offering emotional support to grieving clients and resource materials.
9. Handling pet remains with care and compassion, coordinating with service agencies.
