Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hell’s Kitchen and Hudson Square is hiring part-time Front Desk Receptionists to greet clients and their pets, manage sign-ins, and set the tone for every visit.

In a fast-paced Manhattan clinic, you will handle payments, schedule appointments, answer calls, and support a calm, friendly client experience; weekend availability is required.

Salary ranges from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour, with benefits including a 401(k) plan and an employee pet discount.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a veterinary receptionist is preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and their pets, complete sign-in, confirm details, and escort to exam rooms.
• Handle payments, process cards, ensure accurate sales accounting, schedule future appointments.
• Answer calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medications, and other requests; make reminders and follow-ups.
• Understand vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.

Pure Paws Veterinary Care of Hell's Kitchen and Hudson Square are hiring part-time Front Desk Receptionists to be the first point of contact for our veterinary clients, playing a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit.We are looking for a customer service professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, communicates clearly, and is passionate about animal care.

Salary:$20.00-$22.00 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full time position. Shifts may begin as early as 6:45 AM, with closing shifts running as late as 8:30 PM. Weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet clients and their pets, complete the appointment sign-in process, confirm appointment details, and escort clients to exam rooms.
• Ensure accurate service and product sales accounting, handle payments, process credit/debit cards, and schedule future appointments.
• Answer client calls for appointments, hospital inquiries, medication refills, and other requests. Make outbound calls for appointment reminders and follow-ups.
• Understand common vaccination protocols, basic lab tests, common diseases, veterinary terminology, and pet behavior.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization to ensure a positive client experience.
