Breton Veterinary Hospital in Leonardtown, MD, seeks a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join the team full-time. You will greet clients, schedule appointments, process payments, and support daily hospital operations with calm professionalism.

Ideal candidates show strong communication, compassion for animals, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prior veterinary experience is a plus but not required.

Qualificações

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Experience with client service and handling frequent inquiries is preferred.
  • Ability to learn and use the practice management software.

Responsabilidades

  • Provide client care for scheduling appointments, taking payments, and checking in clients.
  • Answer the phones in a courteous and informative way.
  • Ensure and maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the facility and reception area.
  • Assist in all daily duties for clinic care.
  • Participate in any special cleaning duties
  • Perform equipment maintenance as directed
  • Delegate additional cleaning duties as necessary during slow times in the absence of a supervisor
  • Identify areas or items needing additional attention
  • Other duties as assigned.

Breton Veterinary Hospital is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Veterinary Receptionist to join our team full-time.

Our reception team plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for every client who walks through our doors or calls our hospital. We're looking for someone who enjoys helping people, has a genuine appreciation for animals, and thrives in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Previous knowledge or experience in veterinary medicine is helpful, but not required. The right attitude, communication skills, and commitment to excellent client service are what matter most.

About the Role

As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will help provide exceptional client care while supporting the daily operations of the hospital. Working under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you'll serve as an important connection between our clients, patients, veterinarians, and veterinary support team.

This position requires excellent communication, organization, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm and helpful while managing multiple priorities.

Our goal is to provide outstanding customer service while supporting the hospital's commitment to gold-standard veterinary medicine.

In addition to supporting our clients and their pets, you'll work closely with the entire hospital team and contribute to a positive environment where everyone can continue learning, developing their skills, and providing excellent veterinary care.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

What You'll Bring to Our Team
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to become proficient in the use of the practice management software
  • Compassion and Sensitivity towards pets and their parents
  • Ability to operate office technology such as computers, fax machines, and copiers
  • Ability to stay calm when handling a nervous and/or defensive animal
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for building relationships

Previous veterinary or animal-care experience is a plus, but is not required.
