Job summary

Green Summit Animal Clinic in Lee’s Summit, MO is hiring a friendly receptionist to create a welcoming experience for clients and patients. You’ll manage calls and emails, schedule appointments, coordinate check-in/check-out and payments.

Work closely with the veterinary team to ensure smooth visits, handle sensitive situations with compassion, and keep the reception area organized to support daily operations. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Prior receptionist experience; veterinary experience preferred.
• Calm, compassionate approach when engaging clients, pets, and teammates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to listen and respond professionally.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and multitasking in a busy vet setting.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn scheduling, payment, and veterinary practice management systems.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

• Create a welcoming, friendly experience for clients and patients.

• Maintain an organized, professional reception area and help keep daily operations on track.

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

• Previous receptionist experience; at least one year of veterinary experience is preferred, but we encourage candidates with strong customer service skills to apply.
• A calm, compassionate approach when working with clients, pets, and teammates.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen carefully and respond professionally.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a busy veterinary setting.
• Computer proficiency and the ability to learn scheduling, payment, and veterinary practice management systems.
• A self-starter mindset and a genuine interest in learning and growing professionally.
• Flexibility and professionalism when handling changing priorities and sensitive situations.
