Timberline Animal Hospital is hiring in Fort Collins! We are a fast-paced, full-service veterinary hospital with an excellent reputation for developing lasting relationships with our clients and providing exceptional care to our patients.

We are a small animal hospital serving dogs, cats, and a few small mammals, offering a wide range of veterinary services from annual vaccines and in-house diagnostics to advanced dental procedures, soft tissue surgery, and hospitalization services.

As a Receptionist You Will
  1. Receive and place calls to clients for scheduling.
  2. Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
  3. Maintain proper documentation through client and pet records, referral documentation, and medical history.
  4. Assist clients by providing instructions, information, invoices, dispensing prescriptions as per veterinarian’s instructions, and scheduling appointments.
  5. Utilize hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and teammates.
  6. Manage hospital finances by maintaining accurate balances, collecting client transactions, and following cash and credit procedures.
  7. Provide excellent customer service and professional communication.
  8. Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and hospital services to advocate for pets.
  9. Maintain a positive attitude in interactions with clients, pets, and teammates.
  10. Show empathy toward clients and treat pets with compassion and respect.
  11. Utilize standard office and business equipment.
  12. Possess knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
  13. Have a flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays.
  14. Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
  15. Work independently and accept direction on tasks.
  16. Organize effectively, think critically, and demonstrate good judgment and communication skills.

Pay range: $13.35-$20.90/hour based on experience
