BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist!

Schedule: This is a second shift position!

Pay: $17.00 - $26.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience, licensure, and advancement through the CareerTrax leveling system.

As a Veterinary Receptionist:

1. Greet clients warmly and make friendly eye contact when they enter the hospital.
2. Offer a friendly smile, maintain strong eye contact, and have an approachable demeanor.
3. Be a compassionate listener.
4. Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone so clients can easily understand.
5. Assess each client's needs and the pet's condition upon arrival.
6. Determine whether an emergency is a "stat" or "standard" emergency.
7. Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
8. Confirm all appointments in advance and provide clients with accurate preparation instructions for their pets.
9. Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
10. Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during the handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
