Bedford Veterinary Medical Center is a state-of-the-art, multi-doctor hospital that offers personal, progressive, and comprehensive animal care to dogs, cats, and pocket pets in the Southern New Hampshire area. We practice the highest quality medicine while providing our pets and clients with the utmost care and compassion. Our hospital offers many services including annual wellness care, anesthesia and sedation, dentistry, internal medicine, laser therapy, in-house pharmacy, surgery, urgent/immediate care, and acupuncture. We are supported by a positive, experienced staff and are well equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, dental x-ray, and a complete in-house laboratory. Additionally, our sister hospital, Lowell Road Veterinary Center in Hudson, offers rehabilitation services such as underwater treadmill therapy, massage therapy, laser therapy, and modality exercises. Our goal is to ensure our clients and pets leave with a feeling of being part of the Bedford Veterinary Medical Center family.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:

• Maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area
• Greeting and welcoming clients and patients
• Answering questions and triaging client concerns
• Answering calls or emails and directing them appropriately
• Scheduling appointments to maximize efficiency
• Checking in and out clients and processing payments
• Providing friendly emotional support during times of need, with compassion and discretion

Our receptionists must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises and may be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and contagious diseases.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year veterinary receptionist experience (preferred)
• Weekend availability strongly preferred
• Compassionate, calm, team player, multi-tasker, and strong communicator
• Highly organized with computer skills
• Self-starter eager to expand knowledge and skills
