At BluePearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are essential to the success of our hospital. You will be the first BluePearl Associate that clients see, ensuring they receive the care and attention they need. You must be able to function calmly and compassionately in emotionally challenging situations.

As a Veterinary Receptionist:

• Greet every client warmly with eye contact and a friendly acknowledgment.
• Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and approachable demeanor.
• Listen compassionately to clients.
• Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the phone to ensure understanding.
• Assess clients' needs and pet's condition upon arrival.
• Determine whether an emergency is a "stat" or a "standard" emergency.
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance and provide accurate preparation instructions to clients.
• Offer emotional support and resources to grieving clients discreetly and compassionately.
• Serve as a liaison during the handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete and compassionate process.
