Job summary

AmeriVet is seeking a Veterinary Practice Manager who thrives on building strong teams, creating an exceptional culture, and keeping a busy veterinary hospital running at its best. You will oversee day-to-day operations, staff recruitment and development, client experience, budgeting, billing, and inventory while collaborating closely with veterinarians to maintain high-quality care.

This role requires 3–5 years in a managerial setting (vet care preferred), CVPM/CVBL or healthcare admin

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of managerial experience, preferably in a veterinary practice or healthcare setting.
• CVPM, CVBL and/or a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or other relevant areas are preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated experience in P&L management and financial analysis is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all practice staff, including veterinary technicians, receptionists, and support staff.
• Recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff.
• Develop and optimize staff schedules within labor cost budgets.
• Foster a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Oversee the practice’s financial operations including budgeting, billing, and expenses.
• Lead client service initiatives and monitor client feedback.
• Manage daily operations: inventory, scheduling, supplies, equipment maintenance.
• Execute marketing strategies to attract new clients and engage the community.
• Ensure compliance with veterinary regulatory agencies and OSHA requirements.
