Job summary

The Pet Hospital of La Mesa, part of AmeriVet, is seeking a Practice Manager to develop people, enhance client experience, and partner with our veterinary team to drive operational excellence. You will lead staff, manage finances, and foster a positive culture in a fast-paced hospital.

This role focuses on growth, client service, and community presence, with the goal of exceeding financial and operational targets while ensuring compliant, high-quality care for patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years of managerial experience, preferably in veterinary or healthcare settings.
• CVPM, CVBL and/or a bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration preferred but not required.
• Experience in P&L management and financial analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead all practice staff, including veterinary technicians and receptionists.
• Oversee budgeting, billing, expenses and financial reporting.
• Lead client service and build strong client relationships.
• Manage inventory, scheduling, and daily operations.
• Develop marketing strategies and community outreach.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain records.
