Job summary

Renton West Veterinary Hospital - WellHaven Pet Health in Washington, DC area seeks a Practice Manager to lead the hospital under the Principal Doctor. You will drive top-tier veterinary care, client service, and team motivation while overseeing budgets and profitability.

Collaborating with the Principal Doctor and Operations Service Manager, you’ll hire, coach, and mentor staff, manage HR activities, and ensure compliance with policies and laws.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Principal Doctor to uphold WellHaven brand with high-quality care and service.
• Maximize hospital efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
• Oversee and train staff for professional client service and wellness plans.
• Address and resolve conflicts between clients or staff.
• Collaborate to interview, train, coach, and mentor employees.
• Manage HR activities: onboarding, benefits, workers' comp, recruiting.
• Develop annual plans, budgets, and productivity targets with leadership.
• Maintain licenses, charts, purchasing, and inventory control.
• Lead community outreach and external marketing efforts with Principal Doctor.
• Ensure compliance with policies and laws and maintain safety standards.
• Oversee medical chart processes for accuracy and quality control.
