Are you an experienced veterinary leader ready to take the reins of a thriving, multi-doctor practice in one of Connecticut’s most picturesque towns? Quarry Ridge Animal Hospital is seeking a proactive, compassionate, and strategic Practice Manager to guide our team, optimize operations, and help deliver exceptional care to both small animals and exotics.

About Us:

Quarry Ridge Animal Hospital is a 7-doctor, AAHA-accredited practice located in Ridgefield, CT—a charming town nestled in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains, just an hour from New York City. Our hospital is known for high-level medicine, including advanced orthopedic and general surgery, in-house ultrasound, laser acupuncture, and exotic animal care. We are committed to a personalized, one-on-one experience for every client and their companion.

The Opportunity:

As our Practice Manager, you’ll be a key driver of our clinic’s success—leading daily operations, mentoring a dedicated team, and partnering with our Medical Director to uphold the highest standards of veterinary care. You will be instrumental in shaping the client experience, cultivating a collaborative culture, and steering the growth of our Urgent Care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of 15+ staff, fostering a supportive, high-performance environment.
  • Partner with Learning & Development to ensure training excellence and continued growth.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to maintain clinical quality and optimize scheduling.
  • Oversee purchasing, property management, and compliance with employment regulations.
  • Develop and execute creative marketing strategies to expand our client base.
  • Drive operational performance through budgeting, revenue monitoring, and KPI analysis.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Minimum 3 years of veterinary management experience required.
  • Veterinary marketing experience preferred.
  • CVPM certification or LVT license is a plus, but not required.
  • Advanced degrees (e.g., SHRM-CP, BS, MBA) are highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
