Job summary

Small Door Veterinary is seeking a Practice Manager to lead a busy, growing clinic network. You will oversee a high-performing team, manage payroll, and drive profitability while delivering exceptional client experiences.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with regional leadership to scale operations and maintain brand standards across clinics.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in veterinary or human healthcare practice, with at least 2 years of people management experience.
• Hospitality background or fast-paced startup experience is a plus.
• Strong business acumen and ability to read and manage P&L.
• Proficiency with Excel and Google Suite to analyze data and manage schedules.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing practice team and run regular team meetings with Clinical Leadership.
• Oversee payroll, time and attendance and ensure compliance with safety and HR policies.
• Manage practice P&L and revenue by type, and work with regional leadership to meet revenue targets.
• Oversee appointment scheduling, surgeries, and staff coverage to maximize doctor utilization.
• Own staff onboarding, backfills, and quarterly team events to build a positive culture.
• Collaborate with HQ and regional leadership to implement new initiatives and processes.
