Some people run a hospital. Others
Some people run a hospital. Others lead one.
At Sagamore Animal Hospital, we’re looking for a Practice Manager who knows how to bring out the best in a team, keep operations running smoothly, and still find time to celebrate the little wins (like a perfectly executed schedule or a tough client interaction handled with total grace).
We’re a close-knit, community-focused practice in beautiful Rye, NH, and we take pride in delivering high-quality medicine with a personal touch. Our team is collaborative, experienced, and genuinely enjoys working together—and we’re ready for a leader who can build on that foundation.
This isn’t a “sit in the office and push paperwork” kind of job. You’ll be right in the mix—supporting your team, solving problems on the fly, and helping shape the future of the hospital. You’ll have the autonomy to lead, the support to succeed, and a team that’s ready to follow your lead.
You’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital, making sure everything runs efficiently—from scheduling and workflow to client experience and team performance. You’ll coach and develop team members, foster a positive and accountable culture, and partner with the medical team to ensure we’re delivering the best care possible.
You’ll also keep an eye on the business side of things—managing inventory, budgets, and key performance metrics—while always keeping patient care and team wellbeing front and center.
You’re an experienced leader who knows how to balance empathy with accountability. You’re organized, proactive, and not easily rattled. You can juggle competing priorities, communicate clearly, and make decisions with confidence.
Veterinary experience is strongly preferred, but we’re open to candidates with strong leadership backgrounds in other healthcare or service-based industries who are excited to learn.
We believe a great hospital starts with a great team. That means supporting each other, communicating openly, and creating an environment where people actually enjoy coming to work.
