The University of Georgia is seeking a Pharmacy Student Assistant within the VetMed-VTH Pharmacy in Athens. The role supports Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in compounding and dispensing for various species under supervision.

Responsibilities include precise calculations, safe handling of medications, and accurate record-keeping. This is a part-time student position with evening availability and weekend shifts as required.

Qualificações

• Experience in customer service, veterinary animal care, or general hospital setting.
• Strong mathematical skills for compounding and dosing.
• Ability to follow directions and work under supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately reads and understands medication compounds and calculates dilutions based on patient size/weight.
• Uses equipment such as torsion balance, scales, capsule packing machine, peristaltic pump, filtration systems, and autoclave.
• Completes detailed records and logs of procedures, compounding, and billing in the computer system.
