Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens, GA seeks a Relief Pharmacist for the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Pharmacy to fill and approve prescriptions and provide guidance on medication effects for staff. The role covers day-to-day operations and ensures compliance in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities include compounding, signing off formulations, and supervising the pharmacy when managers are unavailable; counseling clinicians, clients, and staff on prescribed medications; and

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree or PharmD in Pharmacy.
• Current State of GA license to practice as a Pharmacist.
• Exposure to veterinary prescriptions for both large and small animals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compounding/Filling prescriptions for patients when needed.
• Sign off on prescription formulations.
• Oversee pharmacy when the managers are unavailable.
• Counsel clinicians, clients and technical staff on prescribed medications.
• Refills medication dispensing system (CUBEX).
