Job summary

The MSPCA-Angell Boston is seeking a Pharmacy Manager to oversee the hospital outpatient pharmacy, all satellites, and compounding labs. You will establish SOPs, policies, and best practices while training staff and ensuring regulatory compliance across state and federal rules.

Requirements include at least 5 years of retail or hospital pharmacy experience, a minimum of 1 year in compounding, MA pharmacist license, and prior management experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of retail and/or hospital pharmacy experience.
• Minimum of 1 year compounding experience.
• Pharmacist licensed in Massachusetts; management experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Acts as manager to staff pharmacists and all pharmacy staff.
• Prepares and maintains policies and protocols for dispensing medications.
• Oversees pharmacy department structure and scheduling decisions.
• Provides oversight on appropriate use of medications to veterinarians, nurses, clients and staff.
• Prepares documentation required by hospital and regulatory agencies.
