Job summary

The MSPCA-Angell Careers is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our Pathology team in Boston. This full-time position involves high-complexity testing, instrument maintenance, and data entry in LIS to support clinical and anatomical laboratory services.

Ideal candidates hold ASCP certification or equivalent, with 1–3 years of bench experience in a veterinary or human lab setting. Compensation ranges from $37 to $40 per hour, with benefits and on-site parking available.

Qualifications

Graduation from accredited CLSI Laboratory Science program with ASCP or other recognized credentialing agency.
B.S. or A.S. with comparable experience in veterinary or human laboratory work considered.
1–3 years bench experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs clinical testing and complex analysis of biological materials.
Operates, maintains, and troubleshoots laboratory instrumentation and test assays.
Processes and prepares specimens from receipt to reporting; tracks specimens and ensures proper storage.
Functions as a team leader in the absence of management and collaborates with leadership.
Assists in training new and current employees; documents progress with supervisors.
Enters data into the laboratory information system (LIS). Training will be provided.
