The Role

  • Guide medical equipment stewardship, including functionality, maintenance, and requests for additions
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, including controlled substances and radiation safety
  • Represent the hospitals within local professional organizations and referral communities
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed to support teams and clients
Requirements
  • DVM/VMD degree from an accredited institution
  • License to practice veterinary medicine in North Carolina (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • DEA registration (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Proven clinical competence in general practice, including routine soft-tissue surgery and dentistry
  • Demonstrated success coaching or leading veterinary teams; multi-site leadership experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; comfortable traveling between local hospitals
