Qualifications

The Role
  • Serve as the Area Chief of Staff, balancing leadership (approximately 20-30%) with clinical duties (approximately 70-80%)
  • Lead medical quality and client service standards, ensuring consistent, high-level care and an excellent client experience
  • Mentor and develop associate veterinarians, credentialed technicians, and support staff through coaching, training, and regular feedback
  • Oversee clinical workflows, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient demand and maintain productivity
  • Guide case management: take histories, perform examinations and diagnostic workups, create and communicate treatment plans, and ensure accurate medical records
  • Perform general surgery and dentistry, and oversee anesthesia and postoperative care within hospital protocols
  • Promote preventive care and clear client communication for long-term pet health
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture and lead regular team huddles and meetings
  • Support occasional collaboration with nearby teams as needed
Requirements
  • DVM/VMD degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution
