Job summary

Antech Diagnostics in New York, NY seeks a tissue processing specialist to ensure high-quality preparation and accurate grossing notes for pathologists. You will identify, orient, ink, and trim submitted tissues per SOP, and communicate effectively with Pathologists and lab staff.

Ideal candidates have strong laboratory skills, histology knowledge, and attention to detail in a fast-paced diagnostic setting. Position requires adherence to safety and quality procedures and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Laboratory skills in setting up, running, and reading lab tests.
• Histology knowledge and proper handling of tissue samples.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Meet minimum production standards for the department.
• Identify, orient, ink, and trim submitted tissues per SOP with high quality.
• Produce accurate grossing notes with clear code descriptions for Pathologist.
