Job summary

CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories seeks a Grossing Technician I to support pathologists in a fast-paced, high-volume grossing department. The role focuses on accurate description and dissection of surgical specimens with adherence to HIPAA and safety protocols.

Initial training is followed by 1st shift exposure, with options for additional duties and occasional clinic rotation. A bachelor’s degree in science is required or equivalent lab training experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science related field (preferably biology or physiology) or equivalent with required lab coursework.
• 60 semester hours of medical laboratory technology courses or 24 science credits including chemistry/biology mix.
• ABHES/NAACLA-accredited clinical lab training or equivalent; relevant high-complexity training experience.

Responsibilities

• Gross simple to moderately complex specimens.
• Troubleshoot dictation, accessioning, and technical issues.
• Perform gross dissection and specimen description.
• Assist in training of new staff and competency assessments.
