Job summary

Sage Veterinary Imaging is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant to support veterinary technicians, veterinarians, and the Imaging Director in day-to-day care and diagnostic imaging procedures.

You’ll gain exposure to MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography, nuclear medicine, and neuro-imaging while developing practical patient-care and veterinary assisting skills in a specialty imaging setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to safely handle and restrain veterinary patients.
• Ability to follow clinical instructions and safety protocols.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of patient care.

• Willingness to clean, organize, stock, and maintain clinical spaces.
• Basic comfort using computers and electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Admit and discharge patients.
• Obtain and record patient weights and vital signs.
• Assist veterinarians with examinations and imaging procedures.
• Support clinical team with patient care and imaging setup.
• Prepare MRI, CT, ultrasound, radiography equipment and areas.
• Maintain infection-control and safety protocols.
