Job summary

The Radiology Assistant at Virginia Tech Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides essential administrative and clinical support to the Diagnostic Imaging team. Working with radiologic technologists, you help ensure imaging services are organized, efficient, and prepared for veterinary patients, clients, students, and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a medical setting, veterinary or human.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to anticipate needs of imaging team with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn hospital information systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to safely enter MRI bore room.
• Rabies prophylaxis required; provided by the employer.
