Banfield Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Hospital Shift Lead to guide the team, support the Practice Manager, and enhance client and pet experiences. You will help maximize productivity, uphold Banfield standards, and maintain effective communication across staff and clients.

The role requires weekend/evening hours, strong English, and the ability to handle pets in a busy hospital. A high school diploma is preferred, and at least two years of veterinary hospital experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.
• Ability to be confident around pets (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, etc.).
• This position requires working special hours including weekends and evening shifts.
• Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.
• You must be comfortable working in an environment with loud noise (moderately high) and strong smells.
• Requires sufficient ambulatory skills to perform duties while at hospital.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.
• Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate equipment.
• Experience, Education and/or Training: High School Diploma preferred.
• You must be 18 years of age or older.
• You must have a minimum of two years of veterinary hospital experience.

Responsabilités

• Supervise hospital team and support leadership to maximize productivity and profitability.
• Provide exceptional client and pet experiences and ensure effective communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Schedule associates to meet client needs and proactively plan time off and CE scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with Banfield policies and dress/grooming guidelines.
• Perform duties of Client Services Coordinator and Veterinary Assistant when needed.
