Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking an Operations Director, Livewell to lead the launch and ongoing performance of de novo veterinary hospitals within an assigned region. You will recruit and develop Hospital Managers, onboard Founding DVMs, and drive strong operational and financial results across multiple openings.

You will partner with Clinical Ops, Real Estate, Construction, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and IT to move new hospitals from concept to stabilization, while building scalable

Qualifications

• Multi-site operational leadership experience in a fast-growth environment.
• Proven track record leading hospital openings and cross-functional projects.
• Strong financial acumen, budgeting, and P&L improvement skills.
• Experience recruiting, coaching, and developing senior leaders.
• Ability to influence without direct authority and manage multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel ~75% across states to support openings.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational success of multiple hospital openings from pre-opening through stabilization.
• Lead and develop Hospital Managers and Founding DVMs to build a high-performing culture.
• Coordinate cross-functional partners (Clinical Ops, Real Estate, Construction, Finance, Marketing, IT) for launches.
• Improve scalable processes, playbooks, and systems for future openings.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high client/patient experience.
• Deliver timely performance updates and manage budgets and labor across hospitals.
