Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Livewell Hospital Manager to launch and grow a brand-new hospital from the ground up. You will shape culture, recruit and develop a high-performing team, and establish the operating rhythm that defines long-term success in partnership with the Founding DVM and regional leadership.

This de novo role requires grit and energy to drive growth, own P&L, optimize labor and inventory, and deliver an exceptional client experience aligned with Livewell standards.

Qualifications

• Grit and startup mindset required for launching a de novo hospital.
• Experience building and developing teams with a growth-focused leadership style.
• Willingness to learn and own financial performance (P&L, labor, inventory).
• Strong communication and organizational skills to balance execution and strategy.
• Previous management experience in veterinary, medical, retail, or service environments preferred.
• De novo or start-up veterinary experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establish hospital culture, standards, and expectations from day one.
• Implement Livewell playbooks and align medical and business strategy with the Founding DVM.
• Develop local marketing strategies and community partnerships to grow visit trends.
