Job summary

Mission Pet Health seeks an Assistant Hospital Manager to lead a fast-paced veterinary hospital in Phoenix, reporting to the Hospital Manager. You will drive operational efficiency, oversee HR functions, and balance administrative tasks with client relations and team support.

You will collaborate with a dedicated team of technicians and staff, supervise schedules, resolve conflicts, and ensure compassionate patient care while upholding high standards within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience is required (veterinary or healthcare experience is preferred).
• Excellent communication and conflict management skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience leading a diverse workforce and establishing a positive team culture.
• Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including some holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Lead with the Hospital Manager to address staffing needs and coach staff.
• Operational Flow: Monitor daily schedules, appointment flow, and staffing coverage.
• Conflict Resolution: Proactively address and resolve employee conflicts.
• Financial Management: Manage hospital finances, cash handling, and opening/closing protocols.
• Client Experience: Maintain empathy and professionalism with clients and their pets.
• Systems & Records: Use hospital systems to document medical records and communicate with clients.
