Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) seeks a Hospital Operations Manager to lead practices in the Fort Worth area. You will partner with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure profitable hospital operations, drive revenue, manage costs, and foster a culture of exceptional patient care and customer service.

This role requires on-site presence, strong team leadership, and the ability to implement changes, optimize workflows, and oversee licensure for DVMs while collaborating with regional leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years of managerial experience, including customer service.
• Experience in hospital, retail, or service-based settings with increasing responsibility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• P&L ownership, accountable for hospital performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast hospital needs.
• Manage accounts receivable.
• Oversee hospital inventory and control facility and administrative costs.
• Manage payroll for hospital staff.
• Develop hospital schedule and manage labor costs.
• Champion change and promote best practices.
• Lead hospital team to enhance processes and workflows across client service, operations, and admin tasks.
• Implement new technologies and initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Establish and drive the culture of the hospital.
• Track and maintain licensure for all DVMs.
• Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations.
• Demonstrate and reinforce the highest level of client service.
