National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking an experienced Hospital Operations Manager for the Greater St. Louis area to join our team of animal lovers delivering excellent veterinary care and customer service.

This role emphasizes leadership, P&L ownership, and collaborative hospital management. The successful candidate will oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory, costs, and financing while coordinating with regional leadership to drive growth and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 3–5 years in a managerial role with customer service experience
• Experience in hospital, retail, or service industries a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the hospital's P&L and drive its performance
• Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast needs
• Manage accounts receivable and hospital costs
• Oversee inventory and control labor and administrative costs
• Handle payroll for hospital staff
• Develop schedules and manage labor costs
• Lead and promote best practices and change initiatives
• Guide the hospital team to improve processes across service areas
• Implement new technologies to improve efficiency
• Establish and uphold hospital culture
• Maintain licensure for all DVMs
• Provide feedback and handle challenging conversations
• Ensure top-tier client service
