Job summary

National Veterinary Associates, Inc. seeks a Hospital Operations Manager to lead practices in the North Austin area.

This role partners with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure profitable, high-quality patient care and outstanding client service in a dynamic, on-site hospital environment. You will drive revenue, oversee costs, and cultivate a collaborative team culture while championing new technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years in a managerial role with customer service experience.
• Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based setting with increasing responsibility is a plus.
• Regular on-site attendance required.

Responsibilities

• Own the hospital P&L and overall performance.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to forecast needs.
• Manage accounts receivable and cash flow.
• Oversee hospital inventory and control costs.
• Manage payroll for hospital staff.
• Develop hospital scheduling and labor costs.
• Promote best practices and drive change.
• Lead the team to improve processes across client service, operations, and admin tasks.
• Implement new technologies to boost efficiency.
• Establish and drive hospital culture and values.
• Track licensure for all DVMs and maintain compliance.
• Provide feedback and handle difficult conversations.
• Demonstrate exceptional client service.
