Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Receptionist to be the first friendly face for clients, converting calls into appointments and guiding customers through our services. The role requires multitasking, empathy, and a proactive approach to client engagement.

Responsibilities include greeting clients, managing calls, cashier duties, and maintaining accurate records, with opportunities to learn basic veterinary processes and support the care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service experience, preferably front desk or call center.
• 1+ years of computer experience (typing, email, other software).
• Veterinary experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Fill the client schedule each day to provide access to care.
• Greet clients and patients warmly, ensuring a welcoming experience on calls or in person.
• Maximize appointment conversion by managing calls and scheduling effectively.
• Convert more than 20% of new client calls to scheduled appointments.
• Promote Care Companion Plans and services during calls for preventive care uptake.
• Perform weekly reminder calls for due or overdue services to book appointments.
