The role emphasizes accuracy, accountability, and collaboration with leadership, doctors, and staff to ensure compliant and efficient billing practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 3+ years veterinary hospital experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, workflows, and billing practices.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily audits of inpatient and outpatient medical records, treatment sheets, and invoices.
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, missed charges, and documentation errors.
• Maintain auditing logs and revenue recovery reports for leadership review.
• Collaborate with doctors and leadership to improve charging accuracy.
• Provide education on billing practices and recommend workflow improvements.
