New England Animal Medical Center Primary Care is offering an externship for veterinary students to gain hands-on clinical experience in a 5-doctor practice. The externship emphasizes excellent medicine, compassionate care, and professional development within an AAHA-accredited, Fear Free Certified environment.

Participants will document histories, perform exams, develop treatment plans, and observe dentistry, integrative treatments, and surgeries as appropriate.

• Currently enrolled veterinary students in good standing
• Committed to learning clinical skills and patient care

Responsabilidades

• Gain hands-on clinical experience under supervision
• Document patient histories and perform physical examinations
• Develop diagnostic and treatment plans with veterinarians
• Observe and assist with dentistry and surgical procedures
• Learn hospital operations and team-based veterinary medicine
• Participate in preventive care and wellness appointments
• Enhance communication with veterinarians, staff and clients
• Learn about acupuncture and integrative treatment options
