New England Animal Medical Center Primary Care is offering an externship for veterinary students to gain hands-on clinical experience in a 5-doctor practice. The externship emphasizes excellent medicine, compassionate care, and professional development within an AAHA-accredited, Fear Free Certified environment.
Participants will document histories, perform exams, develop treatment plans, and observe dentistry, integrative treatments, and surgeries as appropriate.

Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.
