As an AAHA-accredited and Fear Free Certified hospital, we are committed to practicing high-quality medicine while creating a positive experience for both pets and their families. In addition to comprehensive primary care services, we offer advanced dentistry with full-mouth radiographs on every dental patient and provide acupuncture services.
An externship at our NVA hospital offers veterinary students a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on clinical experience while learning the day‑to‑day operations of a successful veterinary practice. Students work closely with experienced veterinarians in a supportive environment that emphasizes excellent medicine, compassionate care, and professional development.

Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. All veterinary students (regardless of class year) are encouraged to participate in NVA externships.
Veterinary students who are in the clinical portion of their education are eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
