An externship experience at a National Veterinary Associates (NVA) hospital gives veterinary students the unique opportunity to understand the day‑to‑day operations of the practice and gain valuable hands‑on clinical experience. Though each NVA hospital is unique, they share a supportive environment, a commitment to excellent medicine, and a focus on exceptional service to animals and their pet owners.
Externships typically range from two to eight weeks, depending on the student’s schedule and hospital availability. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate.
