Job description

Join to apply for the Veterinary Extern - General Practice role at NVA General Practice.

At Animal Health Care of Marlboro, we offer a positive culture and a fun work environment. Students will gain hands-on experience with our three doctors, including wellness exams, dentals, and routine spays and neuters.

Externs will work closely with the supervising veterinarian to learn about gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creating treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, surgical procedures, and medical management. This is also an opportunity to enhance communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.

Externship durations typically range from two to eight weeks, depending on schedules. All veterinary students, regardless of class year, are encouraged to participate.

Students in the clinical phase of their education may be eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. The stipend amount for Animal Health Care of Marlboro is $1,000. For more details, click HERE.
