Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking a Nursing Manager to lead a veterinary nursing team in a fast-paced emergency hospital. You will empower staff, foster connection, and ensure exceptional patient care while building a culture where VEGgies grow and thrive.

This leadership role emphasizes bridging process and purpose, creating an environment of learning, and influencing outcomes through strong communication and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Must be a credentialed veterinary technician licensed in the state where the VEG practice is located.
• AVMA-accredited vet tech program preferred for degree.
• 5+ years in a clinical veterinary nursing role; emergency experience preferred.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day flow for nursing team and ensure tools/support are available.
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, productivity, hiring, onboarding and offboarding.
• Address patient care issues and team dynamics with empathy and clarity.
• Partner with hospital leadership to align on goals and hospital flow.
• Use doctor feedback to guide team development and maintain medical excellence.
• Lead with VEG values and champion a culture of learning with in-house training and mentorship.
• Ensure licensure, performance standards, and education programs are upheld.
• Drive meaningful 1:1s, check-ins, and student mentorship for long-term growth.
