Bay Beach Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a Client Service Representative to deliver exceptional client and pet care. The CSR greets clients, manages check-in/out, handles calls and follow-ups, and supports the veterinary team with accurate records and smooth hospital operations.

The role requires a high school diploma and basic computer skills; experience with animals is preferred. Flexible hours and a comprehensive benefits package accompany this on-site position.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience working with animals preferred; veterinary or animal care background valued.
• Basic computer proficiency with office software and scheduling tools required.
• Accurate data entry and record-keeping skills.
• Able to perform basic math for cash handling, billing, and appointments.
• Manual dexterity for typing, filing, and handling supplies.
• Strong written and verbal communication; professional, empathetic service.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and handle animals up to 130 pounds.

Responsabilidades

• Greet clients and patients warmly, providing professional, empathetic service and responding to inquiries.
• Check-in and check-out efficiently; liaison with hospital staff and real-time status updates.
• Maintain client communications via phone, email, and mail, including follow-ups and thank-you messages.
• Schedule, confirm, and route appointments; triage patients by urgency.
• Explain hospital services, wellness care, vaccinations, diagnostics, surgical aftercare, and specialty packages.
• Handle sensitive situations with tact and professionalism.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure charges are captured.
• Process payments and refunds; manage Care Credit and card terminals.
• Fill veterinary prescriptions and advise clients.
• Assist with OTC product sales and inventory.
• Support veterinarians and staff with patient care and admin tasks.
• Maintain a clean, safe hospital environment and follow safety protocols.
• Participate in opening, closing, and weekend duties; perform other duties as assigned.
