Job summary

Colorado State University’s Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory seeks a Clinical Pathology Medical Laboratory Professional to perform a full range of clinical pathology assays and support critical diagnostic operations for animal health. You will work independently to ensure testing accuracy and timely results, with on‑call and occasional weekend coverage based on caseload.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, medical technology, or related fields.
• Experience with clinical pathology diagnostic assays is preferred.
• Demonstrated clear and concise communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform full scope of routine and non‑routine pathology tests (chemistry, CBC, urinalysis, fluid analysis).
• Ensure accurate results and meet turnaround times; report client results.
• Provide on‑call and shift coverage; support other staff as needed.
• Review procedures to ensure quality and proper documentation; resolve client issues.
