Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals is seeking a full‑time Client Service Representative to join a busy 7‑doctor team. The role focuses on delivering exceptional client service, scheduling visits, and guiding pets and their families through the hospital experience.

You will support doctors and technicians, handle payments, educate clients on basic pet care, and help manage records with a compassionate, professional demeanor. This opportunity offers strong benefits and professional growth potential.

Qualifications

• At least one year of proven past experience helping customers
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
• Excellent listening and communication skills
• Compassion for pets and people
• Proven decision‑making skills to choose the most appropriate course of action
• Ability to integrate new information into problem‑solving
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Willingness to work non‑traditional hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be exposed to hazards associated with pets

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms or departments
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Educating clients on general animal care and behavior
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
