Job summary

VCA Animal Hospitals seeks an experienced Veterinary Client Service Representative to be the welcoming face of the practice, greeting clients and guiding pets to exam rooms while ensuring a smooth check-in process.

You will handle appointments, follow-ups, explain fees, process payments, recommend products, educate clients on basic pet care, manage medical records, and help maintain a clean, efficient facility that supports the veterinary team.

Responsibilities

• Greeting visitors, answering telephones, guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
• Scheduling and confirming appointments
• Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and outreach to prospective clients
• Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
• Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
• Answering questions regarding products and services, including general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
• Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
• Hospital maintenance and ensuring the facility is neat and clean at all times
