Long Island Animal Hospital in Westbury, NY is seeking a cross-trained Client Service Representative / Veterinary Assistant for a small general practice. You will work alongside doctors and technicians to support patient care and deliver excellent client service.

Qualifications

• 1 year of professional experience in a veterinary clinical setting (CSR, kennel attendant, vet assistant, other), required
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve and handle multiple tasks
• Ability to adapt to changes and stay calm under stress
• Team player with patience and a positive attitude
• Must lift and restrain pets up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Make appointments
• Answer phones
• Provide estimates and process invoices
• Assist doctors and technicians with medical treatments, diagnostic tests, and procedures
• Obtain health history from clients and document accurately in the EMR
• Maintain cleanliness of treatment and patient areas
